Hello Aspirant,
Since you have not mentioned the name of application forma for which you have made the mistake so it's quite difficult to guide you with an accurate solution but if we consider your profile then it shows that you are an engineering aspirant so you might be asking for JEE-Main 2021 application form, if not then please mention the correct one. See if you have submitted your application form along with the payment of application fee and afterwards you have realized that there is a mistake in category section then don't worry because the correction window will be opened for the applicants from January 19th to January 21st 2021 for February attempt so you can make changes in your category. Also note that as per the information brochure of JEE-Main 2021 NTA has clearly mentioned that application fee is not refundable under any circumstances.
On December 16th 2020 the application process for JEE-Main 2021 February attempt has been started by National Testing Agency (NTA) which is the conducting authority for JEE-Main 2021. You can apply for JEE-Main from the official portal of JEE-Main which is given below :-
https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/webinfo2021/Page/Page?PageId=1&LangId=P
Note that this application process will continues till January 16th 2021 and last date for payment of application fee is January 17th 2021 after which neither application nor application fee will be accepted and then after the correction window will be opened for the applicants from January 19th to January 21st 2021. Admit cards will be available for download from second week of February 2021 and the examination will be conducted from February 23rd to February 26th 2021 in two shifts per day, for February attempt.
A candidate will also have option to apply for one Session or more than one Session (February/ March /April /May 2021) together and pay exam fee accordingly. In other words, if a candidate wishes to apply only for one Session, he / she has to pay Examination Fee only for that Session during the current application period and will have opportunity to apply again for the March/ April / May Sessions.

Good Luck!!
Generally, it doesn't cause you too much problem, but if you apply for a reserved category and fail to present the proof, you are considered a general category candidate. You haven't mentioned or tagged the name of the exam fir which you have asked the question. But, I would suggest, not to withdraw the application and make corrections if possible, when the date comes.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
