ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

A pass in 10+2 ( class XII ) or its equivalent securing an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry with not less than 55% marks in each of these three subjects. ( OR ) A three year Diploma in Engineering with minimum 60% marks, awarded by any State Board of Technical Education.

ADMISSION

For B.Tech admission, students are shortlisted on the basis of marks secured in Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam (AEEE) conducted by the Amrita University.

Admission to BA & MA in Communication and PG Diploma in Journalism (PGDJ) is done on the basis of CAP TEST followed by GD/PI.

Selection to M.Tech is done on the basis of GATE score or AGET conducted by the university.

Amrita University offers B.Tech program in eight specializations in full-time mode. Admission is offered on the basis of a valid score in Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam (AEEE) followed by counselling for the selected candidates. Minimum eligibility for B.Tech is 10+2 with minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects and minimum 55% marks in the individual subject.

AEEE is a 2 ½ hours paper with 100 MCQs. Each correct answer will fetch three marks while an incorrect response will lead to the deduction of one mark from the total score.

IN IPU

IP University offers full-time B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Pharm and BHMCT courses at UG level in various disciplines. B.Tech is also offered in Dual Degree and Lateral Entry modes. The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for these IP University courses is 10+2 in the appropriate subject group from a recognized board. From 2019, admission in B.Tech and B.Pharm done on JEE Main Score. Admission for BHMCT is done on NCHMCT JEE Score. Students have to qualify in NATA to secure admission in B.Arch program.

Those candidates who have passed Diploma in Architecture are not eligible to apply for B.Tech (LE).

85% seats in B.Tech and B.Arch programs are reserved for those candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from the school/ institute located in NCT region of Delhi.

15% seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to outside Delhi.

In case of Self Financing Colleges/Institutes (Under IP university) except for Minority Institutions), total sanctioned intake includes 10% seats under Management Quota
