The government colleges of West Bengal doesn't have jee mains quota . The only way to get into government colleges is wbjee. But the private engineering colleges have 10% jee mains quota . Some best private engineering colleges are -

Yes you can use your mains rank for wbjee counseling as 10% of seats is reserved for Jee mains rank holders.
Hi aritri ! Yes, you can do so. WBJEE counselling is onn the basis of WBJEE rank as well as JEE main rank. But not every college takes the student on basis of JEE main rank. Maximum private colleges accept JEE main rank on 10% basis whereas government colleges doesn't accept JEE main rank at all. So only good colleges you are left with are Heritage institute of technology, academy of technology, IEM, techno India Salt Lake campus and other. Through your sc category rank you may not get Heritage because Heritage is autonomous and academy of technology demands bit high rank. Getting iem is bit hard, but you can remain assure of techno and St. Thomas. So best of luck to you.
