In every College there are approximately same courses in first year such as Thermodynamics,Electrical science, technical report writing, general biology, mathematics, probability and statistics, mechanical oscillation and waves, computer programming, engineering graphics, general chemistry, and laboratories such as biology lab, chemistry lab, workshop, and physics lab. Some of the courses can be added or subtracted but mainly they remain same.

Before studying all of these courses you must have sound knowledge of previous NCERT system and formulas because these courses imply same theories as before.

Well It totally depends on the curriculum of your institution and the prescribed university syllabus.

Basically in Computer Science, You will be studying about programming languages,database handling,cloud programming,project management,scripting and everything related to hardware and internal software related to computer systems.

first year is common for all the branches irrespective of college and you will study subjects such as thermodynamics,physics,chemistry,maths,basic computer science(C language),communication,environment and mechanical drawing along with few labs in first year.

as cse is all about problem solving and concepts you should focus on solving puzzles and logical reasoning in first year.

The syllabus and subjects for all the streams in the first year of Engineering are same. There is no difference with respect to the Stream. The Core subjects will be included from the second year. So Don't worry about your Subjects. They are usually which you have studied in Your Intermediate such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. You will also have Engineering Drawing and C Programing. Focus on C Programing and try to be a pro in Coding. As you are from CSE,  you will get Higher Package in the campus placements.

In CSE and IT branch , the programming language plays a crucial role CX and Java.

In the placement first round is technical , their you will get the questions on coding on data structure,

compiler design, OS these subjects you wil get to know in 2nd year. But for that you must have command on one language, it can be C or Java.

You can go for choosing one domain like graphics, web deveopment, app development, etc and start watching online tutorials for that.
