Entrance exams for postgraduate course in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) are 1. Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2. West Bengal Post Graduate Entrance test ( WB PGET) 3. National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Joint Entrance Exam (NIPER JEE) Details about the mentioned entrance test. GPAT – It is the national level entrance test and is conducted for admission to M.Pharm programmes offered by various institutes/colleges. GPAT 2019 exam will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) in Computer Based mode.
GPAT Eligibility Criteria - Candidate must be a citizen of India to appear for the exam. - Candidate must hold Bachelor’s Degree in pharmacy. Candidates in the final year of B.Pharmacy are also eligible to apply. Lateral Entry candidates can also apply. - It should be noted that candidates who have completed B.Tech (Pharmaceutical and fine chemical technology)/ Equivalent are not eligible to apply for the exam. - There is no particular age limit to apply for the GPAT exam. Candidates fulfilling the eligiiblity criteria acan apply for the exam and candidates must know the exam pattern also.
GPAT Exam Pattern is as follows- - Exam would be conducted in Computer based (online) mode and language of the exam would be english. - Total duration of the exam is three hours. - Questions are asked in Multiple Choice (Objective) format. - Total of 125 questions will be asked in the exam. - As per the exam pattern, four marks will be awarded for every correct answer and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Application forms for GPAT 2019 exam was available from 01 Nov, 2018 to 30 Nov, 2018 and the exam is scheduled to be conducted on 28 Jan, 2019. WB PGET - The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal conducts WBUT PGET exam. The exam is conducted for admission to M.Pharm courses of the University and colleges affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology.
WB PGET Eligibility Criteria - Candidate must be a citizen of India to appear for the exam. - Candidates must have B.Pharm or equivalent degree. Candidates in the final year of the qualifying examination can also appear for the exam. Also, candidates who have completed the bachelors degree in distance mode are not eligible to apply for the exam.
WB PGET Exam Pattern The exam is conducted in offline mode. Duration of the exam is 90 minutes. A total of 50 questions are asked in the exam. Medium of the exam is English. Objective type (multiple choice questions) are asked in the exam. As per the marking scheme, one mark will be awarded for every correct answer and no marks will be deducted for wrong answer. There is no negative marking in the exam. Application forms will be released tentatively from 02 Apr, 2019 - 24 Apr, 2019 and the exam is scheduled to be conducted on 28 Apr, 2018. NIPER JEE It is a University level entrance exam and is conducted by National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research.
NIPER JEE Eligiblity Criteria Candidates must score minimum 60 percent marks in the qualifying exam or CGPA of 6.75 on a scale of 10. The score card of GPAT is also an essential document. Candidates are required to bring the score card at the time of interview and group discussion.
NIPER JEE Exam Pattern There are total 200 questions in the exam and questions are asked in Multiple Choice format. Duration of the exam is two hours and exam is conducted in online mode. Medium of the examination is English. There is negative marking in the exam. 25% marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Application forms of the exam will be released tentatively on 01 Apr, 2019 and the exam is expected to be conducted tentatively on 10 Jun, 2019.
