Atul , it I must say that the choice of branch depends upon on your intrests not solely on your ablity to be placed .I suggest you know about subject do the needed researdr and proceed it it coincides with your intrests .both the streams are equally competitve and giving.

It is based on your interest.Dont take any branch forced by someone,take it only if you are interested.CSE is all about software engineering,computer hardware fundamentals.where as ece is about communication systems,circuits.
