The eligibility criteria for UPSC CSE states that candidates need to pass graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, there is no specific aggregate required in this case , you can apply even in the final year provisionally, also you need to attain 21 years as on 1st August of the appearing year, now there are two choices; either you attempt UPSC CSE with back up plan by pursuing courses such as engineering. medical, commerce or any other as per your preference, previous year stats shows candidates from these background too qualify, or without back up plan by pursuing graduation in subject like economics, political science, public administration, history, geography, sociology etc, as there is considerable overlap of these subjects with gs and optional paper of UPSC, and this will help you in preparation, however there is no restrictions in terms of belonging to specific stream as I said, the exam is conducted in three phases of prelims, mains and personality test.
