Here are some Tips for your preparation:
1. BECOME A MATHs EXPERT
You need to be able to solve the questions accurately and be as quick as possible because here time matters a lot. Learn up a few short tricks here and apply them in various questions.
Data interpretation is the major part of this subject it contains up to 15 questions from it. So you should have good knowledge about Tabulation, Pie chart, Line chart, line graph and Bar graph etc.
2. A PRO AT LOGICAL REASONING
This section is the most crucial area of the paper. It consists of 35 questions in PRE whereas 50 in MAIN . It is also a scoring section in which you can easily score good marks to push your overall score to high. Most of the questions in this part are the comprehensive type. It can be made less time consuming with more practice.
3. ENGLISH & VERBAL
Check your comprehensive ability and Grammar skills . Questions are mostly paragraph based. Also, Synonyms and Antonyms are very important. You need to develop a rich vocabulary for this. Other questions are fill in the blanks and sentence correction questions.
4. BECOME A READER
First, develop a regular habit of reading an English Daily. This will boost your vocabulary and improve your reading speed, which is also helpful during reading comprehension. Prefer any good English Newspaper (The Hindu, Indian Express etc)
5. UPDATE YOURSELF!
Try to be up to date with day to day happening and develop a habit of making Notes of important events - Mainly National, International, Bilateral Visits, Budget, Monetary Policies, RBI Announcements, Sports, Appointments, Books and Authors etc .
