BA LLB is a post graduate integrated course of five years duration.If you want to pursue your career in law after 12th standard then you can go for some dual degree like B.A + LL.b hons. Job opportunities are available in ample amounts. After graduation, one may enroll with the Bar Council of India and start working as an Advocate, taking cases and representing people at courts, charging them fees for your service. Also, one may join good Law firms and start working there. The best step to start off is by working under established lawyers and learning tricks of the trade and gaining experience in the process.

BA LLB is a post graduate integrated course of five years duration. This is a professional course which combines Bachelor of Arts and Law. It covers various arts subjects like History, Economics, Political Science, etc along with the strong basis of law and legislature.

Higher Studies Options after BA LLB

There are many options in higher education after integrated course in BA LLB. Students can opt for LLM or MBA after this. Those interested in a career in teaching field can choose LLM and those want to divert their career to flexible areas and to gain experience with corporate can choose MBA.

Job Opportunities for BA LLB Graduates

Most of the law graduates work as apprentice while they are in final year of their studies. After gaining experience as apprentice, they can take part in the examinations organized by Law Society. Those clearing this examination can work as articled clerks. These professionals can work under the experienced advocates as junior advocates and can gain several years of experience. Once they gain this experience they will be able to practice independently. Numerous opportunities are there in this field in both public and in private sectors.

They can begin their career in government sectors as lawyer in tax and labour departments, public prosecutors or in defense fields. Hello,

I would like to tell you that i n corporate firms, a graduate can earn an good salary of 12-13 lakhs per year.

They get a good working environment with a desk job. But a litigator who is equipped with both litigation and solicitation knowledge can expect only a starting salary of Rs. 10,000 to 20,000. He can start practicing with lower courts and within 2-3 years move to higher courts.
