Sir i want to take biotenchnolgy engineering what is the scope of it
Biotechnology is one of the emerging career fields in India. Food Technology, Nutrition, Medicines, Healthcare, Forensic Sciences are some of the fields of Biotechnology. The scope of Biotechnology is wide and offers opportunities in the field of both research and engineering. In this article, well discuss what the future holds for Biotechnology professionals or to-be Biotechnology professionals.
Carrer Opportunities for biotechnology b.tech :
Pharmaceutical sector, Biological Sciences, Healthcare, Food Processing Industry, Food and Chemical Industries seek Biotechnology Professionals for handling positions of Production Engineers, Quality Control Analyst, etc.
Hey Pragya,
The scope of biotechnology is pretty good.It gives you a wide spread of knowledge about research and engineering. The food technology, Nutrition, Medicine, healthcare and forensic Science are some fields of biotechnology, you can choose either of these fields. You can remain in the research field after biotechnology engineering.
Hope you are doing well. Bio Technology is something that is considered as scopeless by some people. But believe me, it has got a very good scope in future. If not in India, this branch finds scope in countries like Singapore, Geneva and so on. This branch is a combination of Engineering and Biology lessons and depends on experiments on different materials to improve it. You may have heard about BT Brinjal, Pomato ( Combination of Potato and Tomato), Golden rice and so on. All this was possible because of Bio Technology. There is a wide scope for this branch. I hope you got the point after reading this answer.
Best of luck.
Hello Pragya......
Well,Biotechnology engineering is a field of applied biology and chemical engineering principles that involves the use of living things in engineering, technology, medicine, and other useful applications. It also includes genetic engineering as well as cell and tissue culture technologies.

All the best:)
Dear Pragya, Biotechnology is a rapidly developing field. Many private businesses are exploring this field and heavily investing in it. It is safe to say that there are ample job opportunities for B.E./B.Tech. Biotechnology Graduates in private sector. Government sector too offers job opportunities, but not in the scale in which private sector does. Average starting salary is generally between 2.4 to 5 Lakh Rupees per year.
Some prominent industries where Biotechnology professionals may find jobs are- Pharmaceuticals Industry, Healthcare sector, Chemical Industry, Agriculture sector, Food Processing and Technology as well as Research sector. Graduates may also take up teaching job (as lecturer) after completing M.E./M.Tech. program
All the best.
