GRE is used to MS or other master degrees from outside university.

For studying in a good university outside India you will need to give GMAT exam. GMAT exam is also of similar difficulty level as of CAT exam. Quantitative ability might be a little less difficult but Verbal Ability is a little more difficult and the format of the exam is also different.

GMAT is used for admission to MBA, Master of Accountancy, and Master of Finance and other 5,900 programmes of more than 2000 business schools worldwide. GMAT 2017 is a computer adaptive test which is three and half hours long and evaluates a candidate on four yardsticks. They are Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative and Verbal. GMAT 2017 score is valid for up to 5 years, and scores up to 10 years are available for reporting. It is held all around the year at over 600 test centres across the globe.

There are no specific dates for GMAT 2017. You can choose a date according to your convenience. However, you have to take at least 16 days break between two attempts.

Also, you can not exceed 5 GMAT exams within a 12-month period. You can take no more than 8 retests in a lifetime.

There are no specific eligibility criteria for GMAT Test 2017. However, it is necessary to be a graduate from a recognised university to appear for GMAT 2017 similar to any postgraduate management entrance.

The GMAT 2017 test scores students on a scale of 200–800. As per the GMAT score, only Verbal and Quantitative GMAT 2017 score impact the total score. For the analytical writing section, you are scaled on a 0–6 range as per the GMAT score 2017. The integrated reasoning is scaled on a range of 1–8.

You will have to mention the name of the institutes they intend to send their GMAT scores to before the test on the test day. The GMAT 2017 result will be available right at the end of the test. You will have to accept or decline the result then. Accepting the score will result in the scores being available for the participating institutes to view. If you decline it, however, the scores will not show.

Also, remember one more thing that GMAT's exam's fees are also high. IT is $250 for an exam. For us, this exam fees vary with the dollar value.

One more thing you need to focus is your academic records are not that good and top universities or b-schools outside India emphasis deeply on the academic records.

All the best!!
