sir in 2019 i cleared my class 12 from cbse 54% then in 2020 gave improvement 67% i need 75% total so im giving nios public exam (4 subjects) will i be eligible for NIT?
Hello,
According to the information available in the information brochure of JEE Main 2021 candidates appearing in the qualifying exam (10+2 or it's equivalent) from National Institute of Open Schooling must pass the qualifying exam with a minimum of five subjects. So you need to enroll for 5 subjects including Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry to be eligible to appear for JEE Main and score minimum 75% marks to get admission in NIT if you belong to general category and for SC/ST it is minimum 65% marks. You are not eligible if you pass in 4 subjects from NIOS.
Hi
I am extremely sorry to tell you dear but you are not eligible for admission in NITs.
This is because,
To be eligible for NITs, IIITs, GFTIs , jee advanced( for iits) one needs at least 75% marks in aggregate in class 12 if belong to general or obc category or at least 65% marks if belongs to SC/ST or must be in the top 20 percentile in class 12 examination.
Also,
Your improvement examination result is considered for admission in NIT etc only when you appear in all the 5 subjects but you have appeared and given improvement examination in only four subjects thus your improvement examination result will not be considered.
In short, you are not eligible for getting admission in NITs etc but yes you are eligible for JEE mains as there is no percentage barrier for that
Thank you
