Hello subhadeep,

Hope you are doing well. Don't worry sometimes while filling form some kinds of mistakes are always done and this is a very common type of mistake . You will not face any problem as when they will ask you for the income certificate then according to that they will automatically Correct it at the time of verification. But you should always be careful while filling the information as some information once filled cannot be corrected and may result in harmful consequences. For now just relax.

Hope this helps.

For any queries feel free to ask.

All the best!!

Regards.

hello subhadeep,

The query you asked is related to the income issuue of the JEE mains

so you mentioned your father income as below 5 lakhs but really your father income is above 5 lakh right

dont worry about that .you are not going to face any promblems

untill and unless your father is a government employee

In JEE mains application form they just give you the slab(of annual salary) options, there isn't any authentication about it is asked so don't worry about it. During the josaa counselling you have to produce your income certificate and that will be considered as your total annual family income  So if you have mentioned your income below 5lacs in jee mains application it is not going to create any problem.

Hello there

If you belong to OBC NCL category then you have to submit a proof of your family's income by submitting the Income certificate.

You won't face any such problem if your father's income is less than 8 lakhs.

Even for EWS Category, the proof of income is required.

If it is much higher than the defined limit for relaxation category, then you can face problem and you would be treated as a general candidate in such a case.

Hope this has answered your query.
