UPSEE has some different category codes than other entrance exams.



In rank section these abbreviations have following meaning:-

• GN -General open
• GL- General for girl quota
• Bc-Backward caste open quota
• BCGL-Backward caste for girl quota

GnGl means Girl in the general quota
What is the GN GL rank on the UPSEE?
Two categories for reservation in UPSEE: followed more or less same everywhere.
1. Vertical (category)- SC/ST/OBC of UP
2. Horizontal (sub category)- FF/AF/HC or PWD/GL of UP
GN & GL stands for GENERAL & GIRL respectively.

BCGL means BC Girl Category
