As per the updated guidelines, reservation is offered to Single Girl Child (SGC) candidates for admission in medical colleges through NEET (UG) only in a few states, for eg. Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, under the 85% state quota. And even this reservation for Single Girl Child hardly ranges to 1% i.e. 1 seat out of the total number of available seats in a medical institute. However, some states like Assam offer scholarships to the SGC candidates. As per my knowledge, there is reservation in the medical colleges of Gujarat only on the basis of the category (UR/OBC/ST/SC/PwD etc.) and the domicile state one belongs to, but not for SGCs.
