Hello,

It totally depends on you. If you are really interested in engineering and that is something you really want to do then i think you should take it. However there are certain things that you should also consider like if you parents are okay with it and you are financially sound then you should take a drop.
Also, January and April 2021 session is not too far so you can go for the drop and start giving 100% everyday. But the day you will decide to take the drop just promise your self that you will give your everything for the preparation and you will be disciplined and dedicated throughout the period.

I hope this helps.

Hello Student,
1. Well 1st of all the thing matters the most is your 1st attempt results. Like if you have scored enough to get into some decent NIT's for a moment considering that you have not get admissions into IIT's then no need, i repeat NO NEED to drop.

2. If you haven't scored average and failed to secure even a decent NIT then you are not left with any other option except, DROP. But yess if have get selected into any state level college, but well reputed then also you can go on! NOO need to drop.

3. IF 1 and 2 both failed, Then take a DROP. Work hard and get into some good college.
Generally i don't advice students for drop is lack of confidence and dedication. Maybe at the beginning you might feel confident and sure but as the time pass, you feel like hell. Competition rages day by day and having a feeling of lacking behind is something disastrous. Means your ego might get hurt. Okay if this is also not a problem with you then the other reason is success rate. If you analyse like what i made at my time, 70% to 80% students get defeated. They failed to accomplish the goal what they dropped for. SO that was statistics, Now you can take your decision.  And  according to me  "Knowlede matters, not the College".

Good luck!!
Thank you!!

Hi Aspirant!

Actually this question depends on your priorities but if you consider general criteria you better not take the drop.It is hard to say but if you not bale to get good rank even after devoting whole one year then it is worthless to again waste one year for the same thing.

Now the better option is that you take the admission in college and perform better their instead of wasting the time.

I hope it helps!

Happy Hustling!

Dear Aspirant
If you are really passionate about studying in a good college such IIT and NIT and are sure that you can do better in next round then you can drop another year.
All the best!
