Pritam pandir Admission in to NIT is based on merit in JEE Main. The eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognised board. A candidate can appear for JEE Main for three consecutive years from the year of passing in the qualifying examination. Earlier, the general category candidates must have passed with minimum 75% aggregate marks to get admission in to NITs and for SC/ST Candidates it is minimum 65% aggregate marks. Due to corona the minimum percentage requirement has been relaxed for the academic year 2021-22. So you just need to pass in the qualifying examination.
The eligibility criteria to appear for JEE Advanced is that a candidate must have qualified in JEE Main and must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics and Chemistry from a recognised. A candidate can appear for JEE Advanced for two consecutive years from the year of passing in the qualifying examination. The minimum percentage requirement has been relaxed as in the case of admission to NITs.
