Dear Niharika, every Category is allotted a certain no.of seats according to the Reservations allotted to them in the Constitution. OBC has 27% reservation and 7.5% go to ST and 15% go to SC. The remaining seats are allotted for General Category seats. One reservation cannot claim another Category. It hasnt happened before and it will not happen this year either. The fact that there are many General Candidates and they do not have reservation benefits mean, the seats will be filled uo and no other Category can claim a stake in this merit Category.
