( if 301 is your board marks out of 500) then As per last year , you are below top 20 percentile. You won't be able to attend the councelling. For this year data check your jee mains rank card and see the column ---( qualifying examination percentile). If it is more than 80% then you are in top 20 percentile otherwise not.

Your jee mains score is very good. You can definitely go for counseling and get a good NIT or IIIT.
