Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a 3 years long Diploma certificate program. This course can be pursued by students who have passed 10th and 12th (Science stream, mathematics group) standards.

Electrical engineering is an engineering discipline that deals with electricity. This discipline covers topics like generation and transmission of electricity, electrical systems and devices. Government and private sector job opportunities are available in front of electrical and electronics engineers.

Common sectors/industries where they may work are – electrical industry firms, electronics industry firms, power generation and transmission firms (power plants). In such work setups, they may take on a role in areas such as design, product manufacturing, quality control, marketing and R&D.

If you are an entrepreneur at heart and have access to decent financial resources, you may even start own electrical and electronics devices manufacturing firm (small, medium or large scale). After completing Master’s Degree, one may land the job post of a lecturer (at relevant technical education institute).

Starting salary depends on different factors. Prominent factors are- job location, profile of the employer, employee skills and qualification. General starting salary in case of environmental engineers is around 10-25k Rupees per month. In case of Government job, salary will be based on Pay Band and scale.
