YES, you can give the improvement exam after passing from class 12th.
Only those who appeared for their 10th and 12th exam through the CBSE board can appear for the improvement exam . A student who has qualified the exam through state or any other board except CBSE is not eligible.
Furthermore, You can apply for CBSE improvement exams for Class 10th and 12th 2022 by filling the improvement exam application form available on the board's official website . It provides students with an opportunity to improve their Class 10th and Class 12th exam scores.

The dates for the improvement application form is not released yet. Applications will be started in August 2021 but till now no clear date has been issued by the board. CBSE Board 10th 12th Improvement exam updates, news, schedule, apply online updates will be available a few days after the declaration of the annual exam result 2022.
