You must know the eligibility criteria of the NDA exam before applying to it. The eligibility criteria for NDA 1 is:

• Your age must be between July 2, 2003, to July 1, 2006.
• For army wing: Passed 12th standard with any stream from State Education Board or a University

For airforce wing: You must have passed 12th standard with Physics and Mathematics from State Education Board or a University

• A candidate must be a citizen of India or A subject of Nepal or Bhutan or A Tibetan refugee who moved to India, before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling here permanently.

Hence you will only able to apply for army wing if you are from commerce stream.

There are certain eligibility criteria that one has to fulfil to be able to write the National defence academy/Naval Academy or NDA/NA examination.

• Academic wise eligibility criteria is-

• Candidates must be 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Most of the time age is the deciding factor for eligibility. Now the age wise eligibility criteria is that the candidate must be between 16.5 to 19.5 years of age.

Also for the NDA 2022 examination the DOB of the candidates for the two attempts is as following -

• NDA -1, 2022

DOB Between - 2nd July 2003 to 1st July , 2006

• NDA - 2, 2022

DOB Between- 2nd January , 2004, to 1st January , 2007

************ Since you are a Commerce student, you are only eligible for INDIAN ARMY. (Through NDA Examination). So, yes you are eligible for the Examination.

Yes, both girls and boys are eligible to take NDA exam. NDA is conducted twice per year - NDA I & NDA II.

Eligibility Criteria for NDA exam are given below.

• Nationality must be Indian Nationality
• Candidates must be minimum 16.5 years to 19.5 years old.
• Age Limit: Candidates who are born between July 2, 2003, to July 1, 2006 are eligible for the exam
• Candidates must be unmarried
• Educational Qualification - Candidates who completed 12th standard or equivalent exam (with Physics and Mathematics - For Air Force & Naval) from a recognised Board for Indian Army are eligible.

So, you are eligible for Indian Army but not for Indian Air Force and Naval as it requires Mathematics and Physics subjects.
