No, you cannot do MBBS without having passed with biology in 12th. For being eligible for MBBS, the candidate must have passed biology or biological sciences, chemistry and physics examinations in 12th class. And along with that, there is a requirement stating that the student must have undergone practical tests in the above mentioned science subjects. Along with that, candidate should have passed 10+2 with English subject as well.
Hi
I am extremely sorry but uf you don't have biology/biotechnology in 12th then you cannot do mbbs.
This is because,
Admission in mbbs is through neet, and to be eligible for Neet it is mandatory to have studied Biology for Biotechnology.
For your reference,
Here's the eligibility criteria for NEET :-
-----------) Qualification required :-As per Neet eligibility to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English as core subject.
†††Important Note :- Students who have passed Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement.
So, what you can do to be eligible for doing MBBS is pass Biology as an additional subject from NIOS and then you can apply for NEET and after qualifying neet, you can do MBBS
-----------) Percentage required :- You must get
-
at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category
-
at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc
-
at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.
-----------) Age limit :-to be eligible for neet one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December in the year of appearing for the examination . There is no upper age limit as of now because the case of upper age limit of 25 years is pending in supreme court since 2018.
