After 12th you can appear for the law entrance exams such as CLAT,LSAT,AILET and few private universities will conduct their own entrance exams.
Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)
The most popular law entrance exam in India, CLAT is considered the gateway to the 22 National Law Universities. Every time, more than 60,000 students appear for CLAT. Admissions through CLAT are offered in both undergraduate and postgraduate law courses. Through CLAT, students can pursue five-year integrated law programmes from any of the CLAT participating institutes , depending on their performance in the exam.
Law School Admission Test - India (LSAT India)
Pearson VUE conducts LSAT India on behalf of USA based Law School Admission Council (LSAC). LSAT India is a national level law entrance exam, accepted by several associated colleges and other participating colleges. Admissions through LSAT India are offered in the programmes like BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB, LLM and other programmes.
All India Law Entrance Test (AILET)
Despite being a National Law University, NLU Delhi has remained out of CLAT. AILET offers 110 BA LLB seats and 70 seats for LLM. The law university is considered one of the best in India.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THOSE EXAMS
The candidate must have secured at least 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (10+2) or an equivalent grade. SC and ST category candidates must secure at least 40% marks or equivalent grades in their qualifying examination.
