see cutoff score varies year to year and depends on some factors like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category. some of the institute also evaluate academic score along with cat score, now coming to tier 1 institute like iims, sp jain pumba, you may not get selected securing 80 percentile score if you are from general category, if you want to get top tier 1 colleges you need to score more than 90 percentile in cat exam.
