Hello,

As per the changed rules of JEE Mains, 12th-grade marks are no longer considered. However, they will matter during admission.

Check all the Top NIT's cut off ranks here:

Good Luck!

Hi,

So this year JOSAA has scrapped the normalisation factor. As long as his percentage is above 65, he can apply for all colleges and I am sure he'll get a great college with 600 category rank.

If you specify your state I'll help you which college to pick.

Dear Rohan

As per new guidelines by IIT management, for general category students need to get 75% and sc/st students need to get 65%. Don't worry, if your cousin got less than 65% you can have so many private universities they'll definitely give dear and also so universities might give fee concession too.

Be confident.

All the best.

How much low ???

As 65% marks must be necessary to score in 12th board to do JOSAA counselling.

Less than 65% is not considered for counselling procedure.

Your cousin's percentage needs to be 65% or above to get NITs/IIITS since he is of sc category ....altough he had chances of getting top NITs with good branches......don't worry...he have still chances to get DTU,Thapar,Galgotias,etc......hope it helps!
