Hello Aspirant,
To put it simply, candidates should be between the age of 16.5 years to 19.5 years of age to be eligible for the exam .
lower age limit- 15.7 years(not later than 1st January 2006/ 16 years during commencement of course.
Upper age limit-18.7 years(not earlier than 2nd January 2003)/19 years during the commencement of the course.
The date of birth mentioned in the application must be the same as the date mentioned on your 10th class certificate, CANDIDATE NEED TO SUMMIT certificates for the proof of age after the declaration of the result of the written exam.
So you can appear for the exam clearly until the age of 19.5 years, the frequency of exam is twice a year. so you will get 6 attempts to clear this exam.

As per the the eligibility criteria set up by UPSC for National Defence Academy , unmarried male/ female candidates who have completed their Class 12 or are appearing candidates can apply for the exam. According to the age criteria, a candidate needs to age between 16 . 5 to 19.5 years of age to be eligible for the same.
So following the same you can appear for NDA in years 2022, 2023 and 2024 that means 6 attempts in all as NDA is conducted twice in a year .
