Hii

To Crack CAT Exam, you need confidence, focus & a great command on your basics( Math & English). If you have this then it doesn't matter if you are an argiculture student or economic student etc. All you need to crack CAT is 100% focus on the syllabus & with complete undersanding of the basics.

If you need any kind of help in books or something feel free to reply back.

Hello dear,

Sure you can give CAT. You can crack CAT exam. The eligibility for CAT is as follows:

  • Applicants must have a bachelor's degree with minimum of 50% ( for sc/sf/pwd, it is 45%) or equivalent cgpa awarded by a recognised university.
  • Candidates appearing for final year of their bachelor's and those who have completed it and are waiting for results can also apply.

All the best!

Hi!

There's no doubt in the fact that an Agriculture student can qualify an aptitude exam like CAT or XAT.

In fact it's a blooming segment all across the world.

Esteemed Institutes like Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and Indian institute of Management Lucknow provide a special program named Post Graduate Program in Agribusiness Management (PGP-ABM) (IIMA has named it to PGP-FABM- Food and Agribusiess Management) especially for graduates of agriculture and allied sectors.

Moreover every IIM and creme B-school gives special privelege to students with diverse backgrounds (in terms of diversity points).

From your  part, you need to start working on the following things:

1. VA-RC (Verbal Reasoning and Reading Comprehension). This section comprises of reading passages and answering questions that follow and some verbal reasoning questions like arrange the jumbled paragraphs, etc

2. DI-LR (Data interpretation and Logical Reasoning). This section comprises of graphs and Logical questions henceforth

3. QA (Quantitative Aptitude). Basic mathematics like modern maths, algebra , geometry, number system.

For preparation, you can join some good coaching centres like T.I.M.E, Career Launcher, IMS, etc or refer to books if you feel you can do it at home.

Do remember, mock tests are a key to succeed. Solve as many as possible.

For any other queries, you can comment.

All d best !!
