The National Defence Academy is the joint defence service training institute of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services i.e. the Indian Army, the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force train together before they go on to respective service academy for further pre-commission training. On successful completion, they are Commissioned as Permanent Commission Officers and posted as officers at any of the Air Force Stations. You can join NDA by taking the exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). This exam is conducted twice a year in all major cities throughout India.
To qualify the Vision Standards for NDA Exam 2022 NDA here is some criteria:
- The distance vision (corrected) should be 6/6 in the better eye and 6/9 in the worse eye .
- Myopia of more than 2.5 D is not allowed. Hypermetropia more than 3.5 D including astigmatism is not allowed.
- Candidates applying for Indian Air Force must not wear spectacles.
- Limits of Hypermetropia: +1.5
- Binocular Vision: III
- You should be able to recognize green and Red color.
- Candidates who habitually wear spectacles are not eligible for Air Force.
- For the NDA 1 2022 exam, the candidates who are born not before July 02, 2003, and not after July 01, 2006, are eligible.
- For the NDA 2 2022 exam, the candidates born between January 02, 2004, and January 01, 2007, are eligible.
