Sir, Now iam doing mechanical engineering and I have interest in aviation field. Please suggest me how can enter into that.
Dear aspirant....!!
Start by joining (get an apprenticeship/ on the job training/ junior level job) the Indian Aviation industry in the engineering and maintenance field after completing your engineering, in whatever pay you get. (Else Join Air India / Pawan Hans for Training, they are conducting 6 months training sessions by charging some fees for the same)
Apply for exams relating to Aircraft Maintenance Engineering conducted by DGCA(India), Civil Aviation or FAA(US) / EASA (Europe). Try clearing exams conducted by FAA and EASA as their licenses are valid in various other countries which allows you for a wider scope of work.
Work and study at the same time, so you save time in gaining experience. Clear your papers on time at the same time, excel in your given work. The company shall notice your efforts and they will help you to get approvals / authorization for various operations as per their work.
When you clear your examinations apply in a bigger airline or MRO, if already working in one, try getting a chance to appear for the AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) license for working on a particular Aircraft by communicating with the respected authorities.
Hope your query is solved!
All the Best!
