JEE mains website states that
Only those candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or 2022; or those who are appearing in Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2022, are eligible to appear in JEE
(Main) 2022.
Candidates who passed Class 12/equivalent examination in 2019 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2023 or later are
not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2021.
Candidates must note that the IITs permit only two attempts for the JEE (Advanced).

1.Age Limit
For appearing in the JEE (Main) 2022, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who
have passed the class 12 / equivalent examination in
2010, 2021, or appearing in 2022 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) 2022
examination. However, the candidates may be required to fulfil the age criteria of the Institute(s) in which they are desirous of taking admission.
2.List of Qualifying Examinations (QE)
i. The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State
Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi;
etc.
ii. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized
Board/ University.
iii. Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National
Defense Academy
iv. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open
Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
v. Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system
if you fulfill the eligibility criterias as mentioned above you can appear for JEE mains 2022. But kindly note that will be your last attempt you will be ineligible to appear for JEE mains 2023 and later.

Students who have passed their 12th class in the year 2020, 2021 or those appearing in 2022 are eligible to appear for JEE mains exam.
The minimum educational qualification required to appear for JEE mains 2022 exam is that the candidate must have passed their class 12th with physics, chemistry and mathematics subjects in 2020 or 2021, those who are appearing in class 12th examination in 2022 are also eligible to appear for JEE mains 2022, there is no age limit to appear for JEE mains exam.
