Dear Venkata Rao,
Hope you are doing well. First of all congratulations on completing your 12th and considering chemical engineering from Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar - One of the best institute located in Gujarat for Bachelors of technology. I will first brief you about the institute and then after will give some idea about chemical engineering from PDPU.
Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) has been established by GERMI as a Private University through the State Act enacted on 4th April, 2007. The University offers programs to address the need for trained human resources in the domains of Science, Technology, Management and Humanities. It intends to broaden the opportunities for students and professionals to develop core subject knowledge which are duly complemented by leadership training interventions, thereby helping the students to make a mark in the global arena. This objective is being further addressed through a number of specialized and well-planned undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral programs as well as intensive research projects.
PDPU School of Technology offers B.Tech. in the fields of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer & ICT besides the Ph.D. Programs in the above areas. It also offers M.Tech in Nuclear & Solar Engineering and other disciplines.
UNIQUE FEATURES
Chemical Engineering at PDPU :
One advantage PDPU has that it gives industrial exposure to students. PDPU has contacts with many of the industries which is beneficial for the students. Also PDPU conducts many events like ‘International Conference on Chemical Industry(ICCI) , ADCTE, which happens only in Chemical Department, no other department has organised such a grand event in the span of last 5 years.
Now talking about Placements, this year 2016–17, in PDPU the highest placements were from chemical department only and the highest package was around 8.5 lacs which is tremendous.
