For, Y=|1/x| you need to consider x for both positive as well as negative values.
Case 1. x=+x (i.e positive values of x)
here, your expression will become Y=1/x
You can search web for graph of Y=1/x
Case 2. x=-x (i.e negative values of x)
here, your expression will become y=-1/x
Now, this graph will be symmetrical to case 1 graph, but in 2nd quadrant.
And when you merge the both graph, you will get the graph for Y=|1/x|.
