Sir should non-cse (chemical) person do mtech in cse, by giving gate. is it worth it? because after passing the mtech companies should not say that you dont have btech in cse, and hence are not eligible..
Hello Mudit,
As a chemical engineer, you have great options ahead if you get a good GATE score in CH. Alternatively, if you want to go for a computer/IT related career then I would not recommend you completely to go for GATE CSE because mostly all PSUs and colleges accepting GATE CSE need a bachelor's in CSE/IT.
So rather than putting an effort for a new subject understanding the basics of it, you can learn new courses online to upskill yourself that will help you get onboard with IT companies and the bachelor's degree doesn't really make a difference there.
Hope it helps, Good Luck!!
