For getting NIT for general category student the minimum marks is 140 in Jee main and maximum marks as much as you can score in Jee main examination out 360 so if want to get top NIT in top branches you should atleast try score above 210+ marks to get top branches
Hope above information is useful for you
Good luck
NITs gives admission on the basis of score secured in JEE MAIN. However the Cutoff Mark's are different for different categories. Even it depends upon the state to which you belong. So this is difficult to predict the maximum and minimum mark without any information. So kindly share your Homestate details, Category details so that we can predict the Maximum and minimum mark for a safe score. However a score above 140+ can be considered as a safe score.
Hi stannon, there is no fix min marks to get nit, you have to ckear cut offs. There is no max limit as well, you can reach at any score. To get sn admission in nit minimum score depends on many factors like difficulty level of jee examination, number of students appeared for exam, number of students who has opted nit, etc.Based on these factors nits release cut offs to take admission. Hope this is helpful.
All the best for your future.
Min marks fir getting admitted in NITs differs according to category.
For general category thier cutoff rank is usually higher as compared to other ..
Min marks-105
For OBC candidate it's 90
For SC/St candidate it's 50...
You can also have a advantage over others since nit have home state quota..due to which you can easily get admitted to your home state nit( some relaxation if rank is given)
