Dear Priyanshu, CAT is the largest entrance examination for admission to 20 IIMs and more than 1000 participating Institutions including top B-Schools. If you want to get in to a Private University, they alternatively accept NMAT, MAT,XAT,SNAP,ATMA scores depending on the University that you are willing to take admission in. Few Universities have their own entrance examination like ICFAI. So either way, there is an entrance examination that you need to qualify for seeking admission in MBA. And having said that, there is no qualifying score in CAT. Its just that each College needs a certain percentile to shortlist Candidates for further rounds. Better the percentile, better are your chances of getting into a good college and vice versa,
