Dharma, am not sure whether I got your question right. Are you asking whether there is any particular Category that is beneficial to get a seat in an Engineering college through an entrance examination? I am sorry to disappoint you but you don't get to choose your category for any particular reason be it educational or professional purposes. It is what you inherit from your parents. You cannot change your Category to suit any purpose because then it would be considered malpractice. Please remember that first and foremost it's your Talent that gets you anywhere near your goal be it any engineering college or a job. Your Category comes into picture much later. If you want to appear for MHTCET, please choose the category that you fall under. This also applies for every entrance exam.
