Sir/maam state boards will not produce top 20 percentile list for 2022. So if I drop and appear for jee 2023 would I need to satisfy top 20 percentile for the year 2023 if the top 20 percentile criteria is restored once again?

Hello Aspirant,

See this year you only need to pass class 12th, there is no need to be in top 20 percentile or should have at least 75% in 12th, therefore you can apply for it in this year as well but if you want to take drop

Then Yes definitely you can appear for JEE-Main 2023 even if you have not scored 75% marks in class 12th this is because there is never a requirement of any minimum percentage in class 12th for JEE-Main but the 75%  is required for admission to NITs/IIIT/GFTIs on the basis of your JEE-Main score or to appear for JEE-Advance.

But you can get admission in other colleges to by only appearing in JEE-Main depending upon the eligibility criteria.

Also note that maximum attempts allowed for JEE-Advance is 2 in 2 consecutive years, first attempt in the passing year of class 12th or equivalent examination and second attempt in very next year to that. Similarly for JEE-Main maximum attempts allowed for JEE-Main is 3 in 3 consecutive years, first attempt in the passing year of class 12th or equivalent examination and second attempt in very next year to that followed by third attempt in third year.

Sir thanks for the information. But I wanted to know that how will the eligibility for admission and attempting exam of jee work out as boards are not providing top 20 percentile list since 2020. How can we get a certificate stating that a student fulfills the 20 percentile criteria?
