Hello dear, If you are persuing engineering for further graduation you have to make up your mind that what you want to become in future like what you want to do in future what attracts you the most or in which field you have your interest.
  • If you like coding and want to become a coder and want to become a web developer or software engineer you can opt for Computer science
  • If you are interested in machines or want to learn more about machine learning and also if you want to go for merchant navy you can opt for Mechanical enengineering
From my point of view both the branches are good it is you who should decide what you really want to become and according to that choose your stream.
Also from future point of view computer science and electronics and communication engineering are the two branches with lots of jobs opportunities in the future.
Hope that helps thank-you.
