sir /mam I need counseling about career. i am totally confused . which will be good for me some time i think i must prepare for gate then suddenly i think i am not able to clear it , then i think about upse then same thougt came up in my mind help me.
Hi Divya,
This is Harsha Sinha. I would like to tell you that these kind of dilemma is natural at your age. The best way to deal with this is to know what you want to become in the future. Like if you want to crack GATE then it has two main scope 1) M Tech, 2) You want Psus using Gate percentile. While if you aspire UPSe then you want to become IAS or anything like that.
Hence what you must do is take a day break enjoy it and then calmly decide what you want to be.
And when you say I can't clear GATE, this is wrong statement if you want to crack GATE you will definitely do it you just have to be confident and determined.
And one most important thing I want to share. First decide what you want to become very calmly take time talk to your seniors and when u have decided then make sure you don't give up until you crack it.
So in my opinion if you want to do something in the field of technology chose GATE or if you are good at Current Affairs and have interest in political field then choose UPSC.
I wish whatever you choose you get success in that.
All the very best of luck.
Regards.
You need to be sure of what you wanna do in future. What is your goal, dream?
If you wanna pursue higher studies then GATE is the option for you. If you wanna go in government jobs then prepare for ESE or Civil services. PSUs provides the environment similar to that of private jobs.
So think about your aspirations, interests and capabilities. Then decide on what you wanna prepare for. Let me tell you most candidates prepares for GATE and ESE simultaneously.
