I would like to tell you that it is your career so kindly focus on your goals than yout friend. Because it is almost negligible chance that you will get the same branch in the same college. And jee advanced is not cakewalk to clear. Until you have cleared jee advanced it is still uncleared. Don't be over confident ever.
