NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
Hi aspirant,
Don't worry you are not required to submit the EWS certificate with the NEET 2021-22 application form. Right now you just need to fill up EWS category in the NEET 2021 application form if you have a valid EWS certificate.
The EWS (Economically weaker sector) certificate is required only at the time of counselling. It is only at the time of counselling you will be asked to submit and verify your EWS certificate in front of the counselling authorities of your state. But if any candidate fails to produce their EWS certificate during the counselling then they will not get seat under EWS category instead they will be eligible only under general category seats.
Criteria for EWS category : Three criteria need to be fulfilled to be eligible under EWS category
- Family income must be less than 8 lacs per year
- Agricultural land area if present must be less than 5 acres
- Residential flat area must be less than 1000 sq ft. Or
- If you have a plot then it must be less than 100 sq. Yards (for notified municipal sector) or less than 200 sq yard for ( non notified municipal sector)
Hope this answers your query.
Thank you.
