First of all, it depends on which subjects you are interested in. Since you were preparing for NEET UG, Physics, Chemistry and Biology would have been your main subjects. You need to understand that, besides MBBS and BDS, there are many other courses which you can get via NEET UG. These include AYUSH Courses - Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy. And Ayurvedic courses are the most promising (among AYUSH) and will give you a job guarantee in future as well. So, I would first suggest you to take part in NEET Counselling 2021 and try to get admission in an Ayurvedic College. To predict what all Medical Colleges (Including AYUSH Courses) you can get with your NEET UG Rank, you may use NEET UG College Predictor Tool - https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor
Now supposing, due to some reasons you are unable to get admission in any college via NEET Counselling, then there are other non medical courses as well for PCB Candidates. These include - BSc. Agriculture, BSc. Forestry, BSc Community Science, BTech Agricultural Engineering, BTech Food Technology. The above courses can be obtained either via ICAR AIEEA UG Exam or via State conducted entrance exams. Also some colleges provide direct admission via Class 12 Marks. If you have appeared for ICAR AIEEA UG Exam and got any college via ICAR UG counseling (which just got ended in the second week of January), then i would suggest you to take admission it. If you have not given any such exams, but you are interested in it, then you are advised to appear it in the 2022 session. To know what ICAR is all about, you may visit the link - ICAR AIEEA 2021: Counselling (Started), 2nd Seat Allotment (Out), Seats Matrix (careers360.com)
Apart from the above courses, there is a BVSc. Course (Veterinary Science) as well via which you can become a Veterinary Doctor . Some colleges do conduct entrance exams and you need to appear in them to get admitted.
The above mentioned degrees were all Professional Courses. There are General Courses as well, via which you can become a Research Scientist in future or a Professor/Lecturer . Also, you can appear for Banking Exams/UPSC etc after completing the graduation. These include - BSc. Physics, BSc. Chemistry, BSc. Zoology, etc. To get complete details regarding BSc. Courses, you may visit the link - B.Sc - Full Form, Courses, Admission Process, Subjects, Fees, Career Options | Careers360
So, summarizing, you have all these options available for you (which are equally good as becoming a doctor) -
It is most important to have belief in yourself. You have appeared for 12th Boards in 2017, means you are like in the age of 22 or 23 and trust me many students have achieved success a bit late. Some of my batchmates have cracked NEET at the age of 26 or so, and now they are studying with me in a Govt Medical College . If you really want to be a doctor and it is your dream, I would suggest you to take a drop and again prepare for NEET 2022. Also, having known the alternatives (from this answer), you can also appear for those other exams as well in 2022. Preparing for NEET, will make you prepared for all the other PCB Based Entrance Exams as well.
