HELLO SOWMYASHRI
Yes, Definitely. But, there are certain criterion which you have to be fulfilled. Now, I am coming to those points one by one. But, it varies from university to university. So, first make sure that these criterion are also applicable in your university too. You can get these information from your university/college office or you may ask your seniors. So, coming to those points-
1. Your CGPA must be at-least 8.5 or above in 10 scale. (This is most vital but it varies from university to university)
2. You must have no backlogs in your 1st year.
3. Your 1st yr studied subjects must be equivalent to your new branch’s 1st year study subjects. ( Don’t worry about it. It’s often remains same.)
4. You have to apply for this within the stipulated time given by the University and with adequate application format.
5. Your expecting branch must have vacant seats else it is not possible.
There may be more criterion but whatever followed in your University, I have given here. For more information contact your university office. But do it as soon as possible because you have to apply for this before the starting of 2nd yr.
HOPE IT HELPS
ALL THE BEST
