The 10 percent reservation for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) in university admissions may not be applicable from this academic year in Telangana. There was talk to implement the EWS quota but the officials have decided not to include it in this academic year. The EWS quota in TS EAMCET will be applicable form the next academic year not this. Although there is an EWS option at the time of applying for EAMCET, the details are not included in the registration process on the website.

Based on the latest news EWS category (ECONOMICALLY WEAKER SECTION) will not be applicable for this year in getting admissions in colleges through eamcet. Although  there is an EWS option during the time of applying for eamcet  but the details are not included in registration process . So , people with EWS category also comes under OC category with out any reservation for this year.
