To get into an MBBS college or any other medical stream you should apply for NEET. This exam is an entrance exam to help you apply to Government as well as private colleges in India for courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS & BUMS.

There are two other exams such as AIIMS UG Entrance Exams and JIPMER Entrance Exams which will get you in their respective colleges for MBBS course.

In India, only 3 entrance examinations are held for the course of MBBS across the country. The examinations being, 1. NEET-UG 2. AIIMS MBBS 3. JIPMER

The first examination's result is valid for taking admissions in all medical courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, etc. in all government and private medical institutions of India except AIIMS and JIPMER.

AIIMS and JIPMER are two premier leading medical colleges of India (there are more than 5 AIIMS colleges in our country, the leading one being in Delhi) which held their own entrance examination for providing admissions in MBBS courses.

Cracking the NEET examination comes at the cost of hard work, patience, determination, continued practice, and a lot of focus on proper time management.

The following books might prove helpful in your preparation.

First of all, for all subjects i.e Physics, Chemistry, Biology study the NCERT books cover to cover at least twice. For Biology read NCERT as many times as possible. For only the text material of Biology, you actually don't need to refer to any other book. NCERT is more than enough for biology. You might doubt this but trust me NCERT is really really enough for Biology. I can't stress more on this FACT.

For Physics, after completing NCERT complete all examples and questions from DC Pandey Objective book of physics by Arihant publishers. Revise the material as much as possible.

For Chemistry, after completing NCERT, for physical chemistry do MCQ type questions from Vibrant Academy's book of Narendra Awasthi. It is a book for JEE but for AIIMS you only need to do and complete the TYPE 1 questions from that book

• Firstly you need to know the syllabus- the chapters well + the pattern.
• List out the most important chapters/topics from which maximum number of questions are asked every year + high weight age chapters also.
• Start with biology first as it is the most scoring subject that can make half of your result if you score 300-320+
• For Biology- Refer NCERT only. It is more than enough. Well, you can also refer Truemans Biology (volume 1+2) for extra and deep knowledge. Try to make a habit of studying biology daily i.e 2 hours in the noon and 2 hours in the night as it is learning kind of subject and so it can be studied during noon and night (as for physics and chemistry > you can study them in early morning and early evening with a fresh mind with more concentration). As you study, keep habit of making notes that too in a smart way- what I mean is make keyword type of notes. It'll be easy for you to revise chapter in a short summary. If you study following this method then you can easily cover maximum chapters like a single chapter in a single day only. Well, the most important is practicing MCQs. Only studying won't do enough- till you don't test yourself by practicing or taking self-tests. So, do solve MCQs on the same day of studying as it'll keep things more clear in your mind. Revise your work regular ly. Entire Biology subject is important as you can score and grab maximum marks for making your result.
• For Chemistry- the second most scoring subject after biology. It has three parts- Organic Chemistry, Inorganic chemistry and Physical Chemistry. For Organic Chemistry- refer NCERT first for understanding the nomenclature-rules and then any reference book like OP Tandon for practicing MCQs topic wise. Keep your preparation high for the organic chemistry portion as every year 12-15 questions are asked from it. Write down the mechanisms+ the reactions and remember > this way learn and revise to keep it in mind for long time. For Inorganic chemistry- again NCERT as direct line questions are asked from this part. Follow the same key-word type notes preparation method for studying inorganic chemistry as there's a lot of learn and remember in this. If you make simple notes then it'll be very easy to revise them anytime + for quick chapter revision too. Lastly For Physical Chemistry- practicing will only get you marks. Note down the important formulae- it's conditions separately in a notebook and practice questions accordingly. The maximum you'll solve/practice- the more question-pattern-level idea you'll get and so it'll keep your concepts more clear+ strong. Most important chapters for Chemistry-

• For Physics- this is practical + logical subject. The more you'll practice- the more things will get clear in your mind + most importantly you'll gain more interest in studying it which Medical students find difficuilt and so are not able to score in Physics. Understanding + concepts clearing + practicing > is the best method for studying Physics. Understand the topics well - thus making concepts clear and solve questions accordingly- topicwise > this will give you clear idea of the question-level-pattern + the logic where and when to be applied according to the question conditions. Here are some tips as to how you can get admission in mbbs :

1. Study plan

You've got 24 hrs in a day and you've to practice every subject every day, make a proper study plan give each subject your equal attention.

For example, if you're good with biology section then spend approx 1:30—2:00 hr daily, give equal attention to physics and chemistry.

And above all stick to your plan that's the main key to success.

2. Read Ncert Books

Make ncert books your friend for all three subjects because everything is asked from ncert book though some might be in a twisted form but you have to keep on reading and practing from ncert books along with other additional books that you keep as a reference.

3. Stay motivated

Never let negative thoughts get in your way. Maintain distance from people who create negativity around you. Start meditation and keep yourself energised and motivated.

4. Solve MCQ

Practice as much as you can.

You can solve mcq from books like MTG, Modules of coachings like Allen, Aakash etc.

5. Ask questions

It is quite obvious to have doubts and queries during your preparation time,so ask questions from your teacher or any other senior.

At last it's your interest and hard work that will pave the path to your success. Never lose hope.

Dear Munesh, if you want to study Medicine, you should be appearing for NEET. This is an National Entrance Examination for admission into Medical,Dental and Ayush courses across India. Now you don't have State wise Entrance Examinations for studying Medicine. Apart from NEET, you can also write JIPMER or AIIMS which also conduct admissions at a National Level. For this, you ideally need to be atleast 17 years of age by December 31st of the year you will take admission into the Medical College, You need to score atleast a minimum of 50% in your 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects. For AIIMS, it is 60%. However there is a leverage for candidates with Reservation and Physical Disability. If you also want to study MBBS abroad, even then appearing for NEET is mandatory.
