The chances of your Bit Sindri is moderate. You may not get branches like CSE or ECE with this rank but you might get lower branches like Production and Mechanical. Admission in Bit Mesra is possible for CML rank up to 8000 for SC. Your chances are very much in borderline. Though you might not get anything in round 1 but many students do leave there seats due to getting better options in later rounds of JoSAA. You can get the seat in BIT Sindri with lower branches.
