GATE 2025: Syllabus | Sample Papers
Dear Aspirant,
It would be much easier too predict if you provide your GATE marks out of 100 as the qualifying cut off is based on this. That is the basic cut off you must get for qualifying GATE 2019 and apply for admissions in IITs and NITs. The admission cut off differs from institute to institute and is decided by the institutes themselves.
GATE 2019:
The GATE exam was organised this year by IIT Madras. The exam was held on February 2,3,9 and 10 2019. The results and qualifying cut offs were announced on March 15 2019. The cut off was based on various factors such as the number of candidates appeared, the difficulty of the exam, number of seats available, etc. For more details on GATE 2019 please visit this link - https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/gate .
The qualifying cut off for EC is 24 for the OBC-NCL category. Considering that your score is above the qualifying cut off you are now eligible for admissions into IITs and NITs. Based on previous year's cut off you have fair chance of getting seats only in the lower ranked IITs and NITs and the newly opened IITs. You have good chance of getting admissions in state engineering colleges.
