So basically i am a 3 rd Year last sem student of BCA preparing for nimcet and my question is like this year nimcet is supposed to be in june but my examination will be in july so even if i crack nimcet will i able to get my admission in nits
Hello Pratik,
Since you're a 3rd-year BCA student preparing for the NIMCET exam and your final exams are in July, there might be some concerns about the timing of your results and the admission process. NIMCET (NIT MCA Common Entrance Test) is generally held in June, and the results are announced a few weeks afterward. The issue you're facing is that your final BCA exams will be in July, potentially after the NIMCET exam, which means your final marks would not be available at the time of the NIMCET counseling process.
In this case, NITs typically allow provisional admission, meaning they accept students who have cleared their final exams but haven’t received their final marks at the time of counseling. As long as you fulfill the eligibility criteria (having completed your BCA or equivalent degree before the start of the academic session), you should still be able to get admission. However, you'll likely need to submit proof of your final exam (such as a provisional certificate or a statement from your university indicating that you have cleared the exams) during the counseling process.
To be sure about this, you should verify the exact eligibility conditions mentioned in the NIMCET 2025 brochure or consult the official NIMCET website.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
