Subject combination (Best of four)
B.A(HONS)Hindi
Candidates must have scored 55% or more in Hindi
1.Candidates should have an aggregate of 50% or more marks in Hindi core or elective and there should be a combination of best three other subjects from List A and List B.
2. Also, inclusion of any subject other than the subjects in List A and List B in the combination of the best three that will lead to a deduction of 2.5% per subject in the aggregate of the Best Four subject .
B.A(Hons) Economics
Candidates should have passed in Mathematics in the qualifying exam
1. An aggregate of 60% marks or more in one Language from List A1, also a combination of other best three elective subjects from Lists A and B.
2. Out of the best two chosen subjects above, the non-inclusion of Economics will directly lead to a deduction of 1% on the aggregate of the Best Four.
3.There should be a inclusion of any subject other than those given in Lists A and B in the best two will lead to a deduction of 2.5% per subject on the aggregate of the Best Four.
B.A(Hons). German/French/Spanish/Italien
1. Candidates must have an aggregate of 45% marks or more in a language from List A and a combination of the best three other subjects from Lists A and B.
2. Inclusion of any subject other than given in Lists A and B .Best three will lead to a deduction of 2.5% per subject in the aggregate of the Best of Four.
B.A(Hons) English
Candidates must have scored 55% or more in English
1.Candidates must have an aggregate of 55% marks or more in English and there should be a combination of three best other subjects from among the following: any language subjects (core/elective) from List A, Economics, Geography, History, Legal Studies, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology.
2. There should be also inclusion of any other subject from List B in the combination of the best three and that will lead to a deduction of 1% per subject on the aggregate, with a maximum net deduction of 2%.
3.Also, Inclusion of any subject other than subjects in both List A and List B in the combination of the best three will directly lead to a deduction of 2.5% per subject in the aggregate of the Best Four.
B.A(Hons)Arabic/Persian
Candidates must have 40% or more marks in 10th class or 12th standard in Arabic/Persian/Urdu
1. An aggregate marks of 45% or morein either English or any Indian language from List A and also a combination of the best three other subjects from Lists A and B.
2.There should be also an inclusion of any subject other than given in Lists A and B . Best three will lead to a deduction of 2.5% per subject on the aggregate of the Best Four
B.A(Hons) Applied Psychology/Geography) History/Political Science Social Work/Philosophy Psychology/ Sociology
1.There should be an aggregate of 55% marks or more in either English or any one of the scheduled languages from List A1, and a combination of best three other subjects from elective subjects of Lists A and B.
2. Out of the best three, chosen subject above, one should be the particular subject in which admission is requested, leading to a deduction of 1% will be done on the aggregate of the Best Four. But,this deduction will not be applicable for admission in Philosophy (Hons).
3.And inclusion of any subject other than given in Lists A and B in the best three will lead to a deduction of 2.5% per subject on the aggregate of the Best Four.

In Summary, teh admission in Delhi University in arts courses is done on merit basis and students are given admission if they clear the cut off published by colleges under DU.
As you have science background and you wish to take admission in arts so you need to face a penalty of 2.5% minimum depending on the college criteria as you need to have the subject in your class 12th , otherwise there is penalty and the same will applies in your case.
The forms will be out tentatively in the mid July, 2021 in the online mode.
